A writer’s paradise, especially if you write at night. Strange, warm & human. Great staff & a creative vibe. Try it some evening & you’ll see what I mean. Even your laptop will feel at home.

I’ve been going to this coffee shop since 2015. It began with me sitting at this vibrant coffee shop to do my college homework & now it has turned into me sitting at the coffee shop to do my self employment work. Great wifi, great tea, great coffee, great snacks, great employees, & great owner. 10/10 recommend! Stays open until 1am for us night owls, which is my favorite part!

I love Salt Lake Coffee Break! It’s down to earth, amazing baristas that are so kind and real, delicious lentil soup and not to mention it is one of Utah’s original coffee shops. I have been coming here for more than 15 years! Also for all your STUDENTS — it’s the best place in town to study late. It stays open until 12 or 1.

SLCB is a community staple. It's the only spot open late for extended cram sessions, and it definitely has a younger, more social vibe than other coffeeshops, so it's a fun place to talk to strangers or hang out with a group. There's plenty of seating; sadly, they got rid of their sofas. I love the patio, which is heated during the winter, and the interior is laidback and cozy.Their chai is tasty, plus they serve Turkish coffee. The baristas are lovely to chat with as well. There's a rack of books, magazines, games, and no shortage of interesting people-watching.

The barista was so nice!! They wrote us a whole list of recommendations of places to go to in the city, without being asked. This is a very spacious café with enough tables that people can work or talk without bothering each other.

This place was lowkey really cool. My friend and I were trying to find a place to just catchup and get some coffee to celebrate International Coffee Day, and this ended up being the place! Right when we went inside, you could just TELL it was a college student hub (so many caffeinated college students I swear, it was kind of crazy). The barista was so so sweet and was super patient with us (we felt so bad we were having a hard time deciding what to get, heheh). But we ended up getting a hot matcha and an iced chai latte - they were soooooo good, the matcha warmed my soul. Then we just went outside where there was a nice little area. Would recommend.

Stopped by late Friday night after enjoying Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 at the Utah Symphony, and I’m so glad this place is open until 1 AM! It’s a great spot to unwind in the area. The hot chocolate was delicious—especially with whipped cream. The staff was super friendly and nice to chat with, which made the experience even better. Definitely a cozy late-night gem!

I love this big roomy ware house type space. Super chill. Strange books in strange places. Cool graffiti art in the bathroom. They used to have a sofa but i guess too many people found it a bit too comfy? Good chai, good vibes. Close to Trax and downtown.
